MAFELL MKS 165 Ec Timber Saw

The MAFELL MKS 165 Ec is a high-performance professional timber circular saw designed for demanding carpentry, timber construction and structural woodworking applications. With a powerful 2800 W motor and an impressive maximum cutting depth of 165 mm, it is designed for cutting thick solid timber, glulam and insulation materials.

The MKS 165 Ec combines exceptional cutting capacity with precise adjustment and professional handling. Its robust magnesium die-cast construction provides an excellent balance between stability and weight, with the machine weighing 15.3 kg.

Powerful 2800 W motor

The 2800 W universal motor provides the power required for demanding timber construction and carpentry work. Electronic motor control provides soft start, constant speed under load, speed reduction and overload protection, helping maintain controlled cutting performance.

Up to 165 mm cutting depth

The MKS 165 Ec provides a cutting depth range of 85–165 mm at 90°. This makes it suitable for applications where conventional circular saws cannot provide sufficient cutting capacity.

At 45°, the cutting depth is 60–116.5 mm, while at 60° it is 42–82.5 mm.

0–60° bevel adjustment

The saw can be continuously tilted from 0° to 60°, allowing standard straight cuts as well as demanding angled cuts. The wide adjustment range makes the MKS 165 Ec a versatile tool for professional timber construction.

Precise cutting-depth adjustment

The required cutting depth can be set using the rotary adjustment wheel and clearly readable scale. This allows quick and repeatable depth settings without unnecessary measuring.

Constant cutting-line indicator

The constant cutting-line indicator from 0° to 60° provides a reliable reference when following a cutting line. The precise pivot point is positioned underneath the base plate, maintaining the cutting reference even when the saw is tilted.

Remote-controlled lower guard

The lower blade guard can be operated remotely, making it easier to release the blade when starting cuts at acute angles. This is particularly useful for specialised timber construction work.

Tool brake

The integrated tool brake helps stop the saw blade quickly after the machine is switched off, adding an important safety feature for professional applications.

Robust magnesium construction
