BESSEY Tool - Innovation with Tradition
In 1889, Max BESSEY founded the Stuttgart company BESSEY & Sohn, which was a steel drawing factory. Since then, the company has continuously expanded its product range. This spirit led BESSEY to start producing hand-held tools in the mid-1930s. Since then, the strength of the company's innovation has been emphasized by the granting of numerous patents. In 1979, when BESSEY took over the tradition-rich company Diener Werkzeugfabrik GmbH, BESSEY established its cutting technology unit, which included the already popular Erdi scissors.
In 2004, BESSEY & Sohn was split into BESSEY Tool, which deals with fastening and cutting technology, and BESSEY Präzisionsstahl, which is Germany's leading independent supplier of high-quality bright and stainless steels for manufacturers and industry. BESSEY's unique position as a producer of tools and precision tubes ensures significant quality advantages. This allows BESSEY Tool to source its rails and spindles directly from the in-house drawing factory, providing precise knowledge of the steel quality used in components that are under particularly high loads. This is because high-quality bright steels are continuously produced and tested in BESSEY Precision Steel's high-tech facilities with utmost precision.
“To stop improving means to stop being good.” The founder of the company, Max Bessey’s motto applies today and in the future and is a guiding principle in everything the company does.
