The MAFELL ZSX TWIN Ec is a powerful two-motor carpenter's chain saw developed for large-dimensioned timber components and demanding professional timber construction work. With a 400 mm cutting depth and 6000 W nominal input, it provides the power required for deep longitudinal and cross cuts in large solid-wood components and glued laminated timber.
The heart of the ZSX TWIN Ec is its two 3000 W motors. They operate in parallel from two separate 230 V phases of a suitable three-phase power supply. This distributes the required power across two circuits instead of placing the entire load on a single 230 V circuit.
The saw can be precisely tilted from -15° to +60° according to the integrated scale. This makes it possible to perform different angled cuts while maintaining controlled and accurate adjustment.
A major advantage in timber construction is the vertically positioned cutting tool. It allows corner cut-outs and half-lap joints to be produced quickly and accurately without the need to turn large timber components. This is particularly useful when processing massive timber wall elements and other large workpieces.
The ZSX TWIN Ec is suitable for longitudinal and cross cuts as well as cut-outs in materials such as solid wood and glued laminated timber. For precise guided cuts, the saw can be mounted on the existing MAFELL F guide rail system. A Pertinax guide slider compensates for the thickness of the guide rail, providing reliable height adjustment during guided work.
With cutting depths of up to 400 mm, substantial chip volumes can be produced. The ZSX TWIN Ec can therefore also be used with an extraction system. In addition to the accessories available for the ZSX 400 / HM, the saw uses a specially developed TWIN HM 400 carbide ripping chain for high-quality longitudinal cuts.
The machine is supplied with a dedicated transport trolley, making handling and transport of this large-format professional saw more practical on the jobsite.
