MAFELL ZSX Ec / 400 HM carpenter's chain saw

The MAFELL ZSX Ec / 400 HM is a powerful professional carpenter's chain saw designed for demanding timber construction, framing and roof construction work. With a 3000 W CUprex motor and an impressive 400 mm cutting depth, it is designed for processing large solid-wood and timber components efficiently and precisely.

The MAFELL special chain combined with precise chain guidance on the guide rail delivers excellent cutting characteristics. The supplied HM 400 fine-cut chains are designed specifically for the ZSX Ec / 400 HM and provide high-quality cuts in demanding professional applications.

The machine can be tilted on both sides through -60° to +60°. The selectable locking function allows standard angles such as 0/90° and 45° on both sides to be set quickly and easily. A clearly readable scale supports precise angle adjustment, while the double swivel guide enables accurate angled cuts.

The motor cooling air continuously clears the scribe indicator, maintaining a clear view of the marked cutting line. The large, adjustable chip ejection system provides efficient chip removal from the cutting area.

The automatic chain lubrication features a precisely adjustable delivery rate. This ensures controlled lubrication of the chain while helping to prevent unnecessary oil splashes on the timber.

Like MAFELL's other carpenter's hand-held saws, the ZSX Ec uses the MAFELL guide rail system. This allows the machine to be guided accurately for demanding straight and controlled cuts.

The ergonomic handle and switch arrangement is suitable for both right- and left-handed users. The design ensures that feed pressure is directed perpendicular to the support surface. Softgrip handles, an integrated on/off switch and switch lock contribute to comfortable and controlled operation.

The electronically controlled drive provides variable speed, soft start, speed reduction, constant speed under load and overload protection. The included parallel fence further supports controlled cutting applications.

Typical applications include cross and rip cuts, angled cuts up to 60°, general timber framing work and hip rafter cuts up to 60°. Suitable materials include solid wood, glued laminated timber and insulation materials.

The ZSX Ec / 400 HM can also be equipped with optional accessories such as MAFELL guide rails, a connecting piece, angle stop and specialized guide equipment for demanding individual timber construction operations.
