MAFELL DSS 300 cc wire saw for insulation materials

The MAFELL DSS 300 cc is a specialised wire saw designed for precise and efficient processing of pressure-resistant and flexible insulation materials. Its cutting depth of up to 306 mm makes it suitable for large-format insulation boards and demanding applications in timber construction and building insulation.

The DSS 300 cc is particularly designed for wood fibre insulation boards, including pressure-resistant and flexible types. It can also be used for suitable PUR rigid foam without underlay, EPS and XPS materials. The precision of the cutting system helps achieve accurate, close-fitting insulation elements, supporting effective insulation and helping reduce thermal bridges.

The machine combines a special cutting wire, a highly rigid carbon guide fin and chip sweepers to achieve precise cutting results. The cutting wire allows the machine to cut in practically any direction, making it especially versatile for insulation work and complex cut-outs.

The automatic wire tensioning system continuously maintains the required wire tension, supporting consistent cutting quality. The powerful 1800 W CUprex high-performance motor provides the necessary drive power for efficient processing of insulation materials.

The DSS 300 cc offers two-dimensional tilting. The cutting angle can be continuously adjusted up to 60°, while the cutting wire and riving knife can additionally be tilted backwards by up to 45°. This allows precise bevel cuts and flexible positioning for different applications.

A double-sided toothed belt transports chips and dust away from the kerf. This improves the capture rate of the extraction system while also supporting cutting precision. The machine has a 35 mm extraction connection and can be integrated into a complete insulation-cutting system with the MAFELL S 200 high-capacity extractor and ST 1700 Vario workbench.

For guided cuts, the DSS 300 cc can be used with MAFELL F guide rails. The F-FIX track clamping system can secure the guide rail directly to insulation boards, while the supplied glider and auxiliary support make guided cutting practical and precise. For long, straight or angled cuts, the ST 1700 Vario workbench provides a flexible supporting system.

The DSS 300 cc is supplied in a transport case with two 6 mm cutting wires, a double-sided toothed belt, auxiliary support/glider, two K-FIX cable covers and a 4 m mains cable. The combination of high cutting capacity, precise wire guidance, automatic tensioning and flexible tilting makes it a professional solution for efficient insulation processing.
