The MAFELL DDF 40 MaxiMAX DuoDoweler is a professional dowel joining machine for highly precise, stable and form-fitting connections in furniture making, stair construction, workshops and installation work. Its compact design, ergonomic handling and patented alignment system provide precision comparable to stationary machinery in a mobile hand-held format.
The proven dual-hole technology creates two precisely positioned dowel holes in one operation. This prevents workpieces from twisting against each other after assembly, making alignment easier and producing exceptionally stable connections.
With a 32 mm drill spacing, the DDF 40 is ideally suited to professional hole rows and fitting holes. This makes it particularly useful for cabinet construction and complete furniture assembly. Standard round wooden dowels provide an economical connection method while maintaining a high level of joint stability.
The patented alignment system uses spring-loaded stop pins integrated into the base plate. They allow repeatable drilling at a fixed distance of 15.5 mm from the workpiece edge, without measuring and marking each hole individually.
The height of the swivel stop can be precisely adjusted up to 62 mm using the rotary control and scale. Frequently used dimensions can be preset with the turret stop. For mitre joints, the stop can be continuously swivelled from 0° to 90°, with defined detent positions at 22.5°, 45° and 67.5°.
The DDF 40 has a flat design with a level base plate, combining the easy handling of a flat dowel joiner with the advantages of traditional dowel connections. The ergonomically designed motor housing provides a secure grip and optimum force transmission during drilling.
The 900 W universal motor, 8,000 rpm no-load speed and drilling depth of up to 40 mm make the machine suitable for solid wood and board materials. The integrated extraction connection helps remove chips and dust directly from the drilling area.
The MaxiMAX version expands the standard configuration with the SA 320 side fence and LA batten stop, together with 6 and 8 mm carbide dowel drills, wooden dowels and an 8 mm glue nozzle. This makes the set particularly versatile for repetitive furniture and assembly work.
The machine is supplied in the T-MAX transport and storage case configuration, providing a practical solution for keeping the machine and its accessories organised and protected.
