MAFELL DDF 40 MidiMAX DuoDoweler in T-MAX

The MAFELL DDF 40 MidiMAX DuoDoweler is a professional dowel joining machine designed for highly precise and stable connections in workshop and installation applications. Its combination of compact construction, ergonomic handling and patented alignment technology enables dowel joints with a level of precision normally associated with stationary machines.

The DDF 40 uses dual-hole technology, creating two precisely positioned dowel holes in one operation. This prevents workpieces from twisting against each other after assembly, significantly simplifying alignment and producing highly stable, form-fitting connections.

With a 32 mm drill spacing, the machine is ideally suited to professional hole-row applications and fitting holes. This makes it particularly useful for cabinet construction and complete furniture assembly, while standard round wooden dowels provide an economical connection solution.

The patented alignment system uses spring-loaded stop pins integrated into the base plate. They allow repeatable drilling at a fixed distance of 15.5 mm from the workpiece edge without measuring and marking each hole individually.

The height of the pivoting stop can be precisely adjusted up to 62 mm using the rotary control and scale. Common dimensions can also be preset using the turret stop. For mitre joints, the stop can be continuously swivelled from 0° to 90°, with defined detent positions at 22.5°, 45° and 67.5°.

The DDF 40 features a flat housing with a level base plate, combining the easy handling of a flat dowel joiner with the advantages of traditional dowel connections. The ergonomically designed motor housing provides a secure grip and effective force transmission during drilling.

With a 900 W universal motor, 8,000 rpm no-load speed and a drilling depth of up to 40 mm, the DDF 40 is suitable for solid wood and board materials. The integrated extraction connection helps remove chips and dust directly from the drilling area.

The MidiMAX version is supplied in a T-MAX case with two 8 mm carbide dowel drills and 200 wooden dowels, making it a practical ready-to-use solution for professional dowel joining.
