MAFELL ZH 245 Ec carpentry planer

The MAFELL ZH 245 Ec is a professional carpentry planer designed for efficient planing of solid wood components up to 248 mm wide. Its wide planing capacity, powerful motor and lightweight construction make it suitable for demanding carpentry and timber-construction applications.

The stepless chip removal adjustment from 0 to 4 mm allows the material removal rate to be precisely adapted to the workpiece and application. With a 248 mm planing width, the machine is designed for efficient processing of wide timber components. The integrated start-up roller helps make maximum use of the available planing width.

A newly developed chip-ejection system provides excellent chip discharge. The reinforced airflow combined with the rotating air guidance efficiently removes the large volume of chips produced during planing and helps prevent blockages caused by wet wood chips.

The solid cast construction follows a consistent lightweight design approach and weighs only 13.2 kg. The practical, ergonomically arranged handles and low machine weight support controlled handling during demanding planing work.

The powerful 2300 W universal motor provides ample power reserves. Intelligent electronic control provides soft start, maintains a constant speed under load, reduces the speed during idle operation to protect the machine and provides overload protection.

The ZH 245 Ec uses a disposable reversible-knife system, eliminating time-consuming adjustment of the planer knives. The knife-changing tool is located directly on the machine, keeping it conveniently available during professional use.
