MAFELL ZH 205 Ec carpentry planer

The MAFELL ZH 205 Ec is a professional carpentry planer designed for efficient planing of solid wood components up to 208 mm wide. Its combination of high planing capacity, powerful motor and comparatively low weight makes it suitable for demanding carpentry and timber-construction work.

The stepless chip removal adjustment from 0 to 4 mm allows the material removal rate to be precisely adapted to the workpiece and application. The 208 mm planing width enables efficient processing of wide timber components while the integrated guide rollers help make full use of the available planing width.

A newly developed chip-ejection system provides particularly effective chip removal. The reinforced airflow and new rotating air guidance efficiently discharge the large volume of chips generated during planing and help prevent blockages, including when processing wet wood chips.

The robust cast construction is designed with consistent lightweight engineering and weighs only 12.5 kg. The practical handle ergonomics and balanced design support controlled handling during demanding planing work.

The 2300 W universal motor provides substantial power reserves. Intelligent electronic control provides soft start, maintains a constant speed under load, reduces speed when running idle to protect the machine and provides overload protection.

The ZH 205 Ec uses a disposable reversible-knife system, eliminating time-consuming knife adjustment. The knife-changing tool is stored directly on the machine, making blade replacement convenient during professional use.
