MAFELL ZK 115 Ec birdsmouth cutter for rafters and notches

The MAFELL ZK 115 Ec is a specialist machine for cutting all common birdsmouths, notches and laps in roof construction and timber framing. It combines high power with comfortable handling, making it a reliable tool for carpenters and roofers.

The powerful 3000 W motor is equipped with electronics for soft start, constant speed under load, overload protection, machine-friendly no-load speed reduction and reduced noise emission. The tool brake brings the cutter head to a quick stop after switching off.

The completely newly developed cutter head (150 × 115 mm) features 13 carbide reversible inserts – 9 for milling and 4 for pre-scoring. This ensures extreme material removal, optimal chip flow and longer service life.

Setting up is fast and precise: simply mark the birdsmouth and the cut line, set the line indicator and roof pitch, and start milling immediately. No test cuts are required, which saves considerable time on site. The milling depth is up to 70 mm at 0°, and the tilting range is 0–60°.

The all-round protective guard ensures optimal user protection. The included parallel guide supports precise and repeatable work. The machine is suitable for solid wood and glued laminated timber.
