MAFELL ASB 18 cordless impact drill/driver in T-MAX

The MAFELL ASB 18 is a professional 18 V cordless impact drill/driver designed for demanding drilling, screwdriving and impact drilling applications. Its robust construction and high power make it a versatile tool for construction sites, workshops and installation work.

The ASB 18 provides 65 Nm soft torque and up to 130 Nm hard torque. Two speed ranges allow controlled operation from 0–560 rpm in first gear and 0–1960 rpm in second gear. The maximum drilling capacity is 68 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel.

The powerful impact drilling function reaches up to 38,000 impacts per minute, making the ASB 18 suitable for drilling in masonry. This extends the application range beyond conventional drilling and screwdriving.

The impulse function provides additional support in difficult situations, such as loosening seized screws or starting holes on smooth surfaces. The spindle has a 1/4-inch holder for direct use of bits and quick-change accessories, while the supplied quick-change chuck accepts tools up to 13 mm.

The electronic Anti-Kickback function actively switches off the motor in the event of a sudden rotational movement, helping protect the user's wrist. Two integrated spirit levels enable precise 90° control during horizontal and vertical drilling or screwdriving.

Bright LED work lights with afterglow illuminate the working area over a broad, shadow-reduced field. Four magnetic bit holders on both sides of the battery mount keep frequently used bits readily accessible.

The 43 mm clamping neck allows the ASB 18 to be mounted in all MAFELL BST drilling stations. The tool is part of the Cordless Alliance System (CAS), providing compatibility across corresponding CAS machines, batteries and chargers.

The set includes a PowerTank 18 M 72 LiHD, a PowerTank 18 M 99 LiHD, an APS M battery power station and a T-MAX transport and storage case, providing a ready-to-use professional package. MAFELL states that the PowerTanks use processor-controlled battery technology to continuously monitor relevant cell parameters such as charge level and temperature.
