The MAFELL BST 320 drilling station is designed for highly precise drilling in solid wood and glulam. Its robust yet lightweight aluminium-profile column provides a stable foundation for accurate drilling and offers significant advantages over conventional drill stands.
The single-column guide gives the operator a clear view of the marking and drill tip. The open construction also provides more space when changing drills and helps prevent the machine from tilting during the drilling process.
A key feature is the 80 mm high, six-roller drill guide. The vertically mounted rollers are adjusted continuously using an iris-style mechanism, allowing the drill to be guided precisely and reducing the risk of the drill wandering. The guide covers drill diameters from 8 to 30 mm.
The adjustable polyethylene rope tension allows the feed force to be adapted to the working position. This can be particularly useful for horizontal drilling, where reduced feed pressure can make handling more comfortable. After drilling, the machine automatically returns to its starting position.
For repetitive work, the insert plate can be replaced with an optional copy insert, making the BST 320 suitable for drilling templates and repeated hole patterns. Marking notches help position the drill accurately, while the optional parallel stop with side stop provides a practical setup for series production and end-grain drilling. Drilling depth can be set quickly and accurately using the integrated scale.
The BST 320 is also suitable for use with MAFELL A 18 and ASB 18 cordless drills. The 43 mm clamping neck mount provides secure compatibility with the corresponding MAFELL drilling equipment.
