MAFELL PSS 3100 SE Portable Panel Saw System

The MAFELL PSS 3100 SE is a professional portable panel saw system designed for precise and efficient cutting of large-format board materials. Its unique self-driven, rail-guided design combines the advantages of a stationary panel saw with the flexibility and mobility of a portable system.

With a maximum cutting length of 3100 mm and a cutting depth of up to 45 mm, the PSS 3100 SE is particularly suitable for cutting large boards and panels directly on site. The integrated feed motor moves the saw automatically along the guide rail, making it possible to process large panels efficiently with convenient one-person operation.

The 1490 W universal motor provides reliable cutting performance, while full-wave electronics with adjustable speed and soft start allow the machine to be adapted to different materials. The electronics also maintain a constant speed under load and provide overload protection.

A major advantage of the PSS 3100 SE is its highly effective dust management. The saw features a full-size blade guard and an integrated extraction channel. When combined with a suitable MAFELL dust extractor such as the S 50 M, the system is designed to capture practically all of the dust generated during cutting. The system is also compatible with the MAFELL S 25 M and S 50 M dust extractors.

The integrated scoring function helps produce clean, virtually tear-free cutting edges. The saw unit can be set to a scoring position, shifting the cutting edge slightly and helping minimise splintering on sensitive board materials.

The PSS 3100 SE is suitable for a wide range of materials, including chipboard, OSB, façade boards, melamine resin panels such as Trespa, plastics, cement-bonded panels and gypsum fibreboard. With the appropriate saw blade, it can also be used for mineral-containing materials such as cement-fibre panels.

The guide rail can be separated quickly and easily using the supplied hex key, making transportation and handling significantly easier. Extensions are available for applications requiring additional cutting length, while the adjustable stop helps maintain the desired cutting length and allows the blade to exit the workpiece cleanly.
