The portable band saw Z 5 Ec is the innovative successor to the legendary Z 3. Thanks to the new high-power motor and magnesium die-cast components, its advantages include a lower weight (13.6 kg / 30.2 lbs), better performance, higher torque, and excellent maneuverability. The ball-bearing band guide system ensures outstanding band tracking and thus optimal cutting. Bands with a maximum thickness of 8 mm (5/16 inch) ensure optimal flexibility when sawing and profiling beams and rafters. The Z 5 Ec offers an impressive cutting depth of 305 mm (12 inches). The characteristic precision of MAFELL's portable band saw allows the Z 5 Ec to make extremely clean and perfectly square cuts. The cooling air for the high-performance motor is used for dust removal. As a result, chips are kept away from your head, and you always have a clear view of the workpiece.
