MAFELL ZAF 250 Vario tenon milling machine

The MAFELL ZAF 250 Vario is a stationary tenon milling machine for timber framing and carpentry workshops. With it, all tenon shapes can be produced quickly, precisely, efficiently and with a perfect fit – straight and angled tenons as well as corner and ridge laps.

The length scale on the 3000 mm support allows precise settings using a stop. The specially developed milling tool can be quickly adjusted for different tenon lengths and lap cuts.

The machine features precise adjustment options and a clearly organised control panel with an integrated laser for exact positioning. Once the tenon geometry has been set, the milling head automatically follows the tenon shape and delivers the finished tenon – including end trimming, shouldering and chamfering. The adjustable feed speed also supports work in hardwood.

The swivelling milling head keeps the workpiece in the same position at all times, so the machine requires very little space. Simple and fast setting of length, angle and tenon dimensions saves considerable time. The machine is fully extractable, leaving no offcut waste.

The powerful 6000 W three-phase motor handles timber dimensions up to 500 × 250 mm at 0° and 220 × 250 mm at 60°. It is suitable for solid wood and glued laminated timber.
