MAFELL SG 500 slotting device for LS 103 Ec chain mortiser

The MAFELL SG 500 takes the LS 103 Ec chain mortiser really deep: it cuts slots up to 500 mm deep, with a slot length of 50 mm per plunge. It is ideal for large-dimension milling work in solid wood and glued laminated timber, for example for steel plates and concealed connectors.

The sturdy, torsion-resistant guide frame ensures accurately fitting slots. The guide angle can be adjusted up to 45° to both sides, offering versatile application options.

Three guide pieces (3, 5 and 7 mm) are supplied and can be inserted into the front end of the guide rail. This makes it possible to widen the slot in a second pass, with the inserted guide piece preventing the chain from drifting into the previously cut slot.

The included clamping device with a clamping width of up to 300 mm holds the device securely on the workpiece.

Note: the LS 103 Ec chain mortiser and chain sets are not included and must be purchased separately.
