MAFELL SG 230 slotting device for LS 103 Ec chain mortiser

The MAFELL SG 230 is one of three slotting device options for the LS 103 Ec chain mortiser, used to mill slots in beams and glued laminated girders. It is ideal for slotting beam connections and connectors, for example for concealed steel connectors and slotted plates.

With the SG 230, you can slot any timber up to a depth of 285 mm horizontally and 230 mm vertically. At working depths of up to 230 mm, a spring-loaded return function automatically brings the machine back to its starting position.

The sturdy, torsion-resistant guide frame and the precise coordination between the slotting device and the chain mortiser ensure accurately fitting slots. The slot width can be selected from 6 to 21 mm, making the device suitable for a wide range of applications.

Weighing only 7.7 kg, the SG 230 offers excellent handling even in difficult working positions and is therefore also suitable for working on already installed girders. It is suitable for solid wood, beams and glued laminated timber.

Note: the LS 103 Ec chain mortiser is not included and must be purchased separately.
